Web Search Tool
The Web Search Tool gives your agent access to a Search Engine, so it can pull in real-time, up-to-date information from across the internet.
Nothing to configure
Add it once and you're done. There are no keys to connect and no settings to fill in—the tool has no configuration at all.
Adding It to Your Agent
In Agent Studio, open Agent Tools, click Add Tool, and choose Web Search. Deploy to Test or Live and your agent can search from that point on.
Removing the card takes the capability away again—your agent falls back to what it already knows, and you can add the tool back at any time.
Real-Time Information
Because it can now search the web, your agent is no longer limited to what it was trained on. It can look up current, up-to-date information—recent events, latest facts, things that change day to day—and fold what it finds into its response.
When the Agent Uses It
You do not have to tell the agent to search. It decides on its own when a question calls for live information and reaches for the Web Search Tool automatically. Ask it something that depends on current knowledge and it will search, read, and answer.
